    • Overview

Titleist Golf has made their names in a few different products, mainly golf balls, irons and Scotty Cameron putters. Titleist irons, especially their driving irons, have been a hit on professional tours.

Titleist has a long history of producing irons - over 50 years - and their product was unsurprisingly high-quality, as Tiger Woods used them to win the “Tiger Slam” in the early 2000s; he played with the Titleist 681-T irons and his personal set just sold for over $5 million in an auction.

With such a storied history of success, Titleist Golf continued to design top-notch irons enjoyed by professional golfers every year; they have also added more game improvement irons to their portfolio so everyone can get a taste of their iron sets’ incredible feel and power.

    • Pro Tips

While Titleist irons have been mainly targeting low handicaps and tour players, you can now find new and used Titleist iron sets for mid to high handicaps using our iron handicap comparison tool and our Titleist iron selector tool, USelect™.

    • Titleist Irons by Year

Titleist Golf loves to perfect their iron sets, which is why they tend to reintroduce a newer iteration every couple of years. While each evolution certainly involves more advanced technologies, you better believe you can still find Titleist iron sets packed with technology if you go the used Titleist irons route, even for left-handed Titleist irons.

2022-2020: New and Used Titleist T400 Irons

The Titleist T400 irons were originally released in March 2020 and offered the most forgiving irons in the T-Series. These irons are geared toward higher handicaps thanks to their high launch capabilities and will likely have future iterations with more enhancements.

      2021-2019: New and Used Titleist T100, T100 S, T200, T300 Irons

Originally released in 2019, the Titleist T-Series irons had an upgrade in 2021; both Titleist iron sets can be found on GlobalGolf. The new and used Titleist T100 irons are for low handicaps (mainly tour players), the Titleist T100S irons have a stronger loft for more distance and a more piercing ball flight, the Titleist T200 irons are more forgiving than the T100 and T100S and have a better feel and the Titleist T300 irons are the most forgiving of the line and focus on distance, too. While both iterations of this line offer up great technology, you may find more forgiveness and better feel in the 2021 version or the 2022 T400 irons.

      2019-2017: New and Used Titleist 718 AP1, AP2, AP3 Irons

Titleist Golf continued the tradition of improving a current line with a second release, the 718 AP1-AP3 irons coming out with improvements in 2019. The Titleist 718 AP1 irons are all-around, high-performance game improvement clubs, the Titleist 718 AP2 irons are for low handicap players who want to shape their shots without losing forgiveness and the Titleist 718 AP3 irons are a combination of the other models and offers distance and ball speed; despite its forgiveness features, it’s still considered a players iron.

2019-2017: New and Used Titleist 718 CB, MB, T-MB Irons

Titleist released cavity back (CB) and muscle back (MB) irons for different handicap ranges. The Titleist 718 CB irons are highly workable and mainly in tour players’ bags. The Titleist 718 MB irons is your everyday, stylish forged iron set also geared toward lower handicaps. The Titleist 718 T-MB iron set was inspired by the original utility iron, and these irons are designed to give you more distance.

2015: New and Used Titleist 716 CB, MB, T-MB Irons

The Titleist 716 CB, MB and T-MB irons are geared toward similar handicaps as the 718 versions and focus on the forged feeling, playability and distance, respectively. Buying used Titleist 716 CB irons, for example, is still a viable option for improving your feel and control at a lower price.

      2015: New and Used Titleist 716 AP1, AP2 Irons

You’ll notice that the AP3 irons didn’t come around until 2017, but if you’re still looking for forgiveness, the Titleist 716 AP1 irons are for you, and if you’re looking for distance with a side of forgiveness, the Titleist 716 AP2 irons are your best bet.
