    Description

The Ping G400 fairway wood features an extremely thin and more flexible maraging steel face that generates faster ball speeds to launch shots farther, higher, and straighter. The 17-4 SS crown is cast ultra-thin for weight savings to optimize the CG location and to increase total MOI for full-face forgiveness while crown turbulators increase ball speed and provide a captured look. The machined back weight enables you to customize your swing weight and you can fine-tune your launch conditions prior to a round by adjusting loft up to +-1º. The face texture reduces spin, and the head’s cascading sole increases face flexing for higher launch.

    Condition Description

Clubs in Value Condition have been played frequently. All clubs in Value Condition are in 100% playable condition, as all of the markings will be purely cosmetic blemishes, and in no way will affect performance. This is the perfect option for the player looking for more bang for the buck. Among the wear that you may see on clubs in Value Condition: Moderate face and sole wear; sky-marks, paint chips, paint blemishes, and scratches on the crown; dings and nicks on the crown and/or around the edges of the head; shaft wear.

    Ping G400 Fairway Wood Overview

    Maraging Steel Face

A maraging steel face on the PING G400 fairway wood produces higher ball speeds and launch angle. The steel is strong and thin, flexing more at impact to give the club more distance. There is also a slight textured feel to the club face. This roughness reduces spin, adding to the club's distance.

    Turbulators

The crown is made from a thin, lightweight 17-4 stainless steel. The weight savings from the crown are moved around the clubhead, increasing MOI (forgiveness). The crown also has Turbulators that improve aerodynamics and frame the ball at address.

    Tungsten Weight

A tungsten back weight on the sole of the G400 fairway wood serves 2 purposes. It optimizes the CG location for the best launch and spin conditions, resulting in maximum distance. The weight also delivers a high launch angle for better stopping power.
