    Description

The Ping G400 SFT (Straight Flight) fairway wood has weight closer to the heel, a lighter swing weight and higher lofts to help square the face, promote right-to-left shot bend (right-handed golfers) and launch the ball higher. The G400 SFT features an extremely thin and more flexible maraging steel face that generates faster ball speeds to launch shots farther, higher, and straighter. The 17-4 SS crown is cast ultra-thin for weight savings to optimize the CG location and to increase total MOI for full-face forgiveness while crown turbulators increase ball speed and provide a captured look. The machined back weight enables you to customize your swing weight and you can fine-tune your launch conditions prior to a round by adjusting loft up to +-1º. The face texture reduces spin, and the head’s cascading sole increases face flexing for higher launch.

    Condition Description

Clubs in Value Condition have been played frequently. All clubs in Value Condition are in 100% playable condition, as all of the markings will be purely cosmetic blemishes, and in no way will affect performance. This is the perfect option for the player looking for more bang for the buck. Among the wear that you may see on clubs in Value Condition: Moderate face and sole wear; sky-marks, paint chips, paint blemishes, and scratches on the crown; dings and nicks on the crown and/or around the edges of the head; shaft wear.

    Technology / Specs

The PING G400 SFT fairway wood is designed to give you maximum distance and forgiveness while helping correct the miss right (for right-handed golfers) that we don't mention by name. Here's more about the club.

    Back Weight on the Sole

The PING G400 SFT fairway wood has the same tungsten back weight as other G400 fairway woods; the one that optimizes the CG location and increases MOI. The difference here is the position of the weight. The weight is shifted towards the heel, giving the club more draw-bias to help with that miss to the right (for right-handed golfers).

    Face Features

The face of the G400 SFT fairway wood is made from maraging steel, a thin material, that flexes twice as much for more ball speed and distance. The face also has a slight roughness that reduces the spin, adding to distance gains.

    Lightweight Crown

A thin, lightweight 17-4 stainless steel crown tops the G400 SFT fairway wood. The material allows weight to be moved around the perimeter of the club, increasing the MOI.

You'll also notice Turbulators on the crown. These raised ribs near the face improve aerodynamics throughout the swing as well as frame the ball at address.
