    Description

The Ping G400 Max driver is a great fit for players looking to add distance through extraordinary stability and forgiveness. The 460cc head features Dragonfly Technology to thin the crown and position the CG low to maximize MOI for longer, straighter drives. The thin T9S+ forged face flexes more to ramp up ball speed for consistently long, straight drives and the face is textured to increase friction and reduce spin. The domed crown combined with bolder turbulators reduces drag to generate significant clubhead speed and ball velocity for distance with stability while the textured crown and infinity edge form a pleasing view at address.

    Condition Description

Clubs in Very Good Condition have been played with and cared for in an appropriate fashion. The markings that you will likely find on Very Good Condition products will show typical wear of models of its age. All of the wear is purely cosmetic, and will not in any way affect the performance of the club. Among the wear that you may see on clubs in Very Good Condition: Normal ball marks and scratching on the face; normal scratching on the sole; minor dings and nicks on the crown and/or around the edges of the head; very light scratches, paint chips, paint blemishes on or around the crown.

    Ping G400 Max Driver Overview

    Address View of Driver

    Large Head with Max MOI

The PING G400 Max driver has the largest head of the G400 driver line, coming in at the 460cc limit. The larger head, along with a tungsten weight on the back part of the sole move the CG extremely low and deep in the club head. The result is a combined MOI of over 9,900, which is the highest of any club on the market.

    Driver club face

    Forged Face

PING ups the ball speed/distance of the G400 Max driver by using a T9S+ forged face. This type of steel is very strong, allowing the face to be made very thin without the threat of breaking. The thin face flexes more at impact, creating higher ball speeds on shots hit all over the face. The pattern on the face frames the ball at impact. As you address the golf ball, you'll know exactly where to set up to hit the sweet spot.

    Crown of Club moved off

Turbulators, Dragonfly Technology and Vortec Technology

The crown of the G400 Max driver has Turbulators, Dragonfly technology, and Vortec technology. Turbulators are the ridges that run perpendicular to the face. They improve airflow throughout the swing, reducing drag. Dragonfly technology is the finger-like lines that run to the back of the crown. They lower the weight of the crown, optimizing the CG location. Vortec technology on the back of the club also reduces drag during the swing. According to PING, drag is reduced 40% mid-downswing and 15% overall. The PING G400 Max driver also has internal ribs that give the club a solid, muted sound at impact.
